Architect takes 3BD in Brooklyn

Medium c75b55d688f5495d78f97e942fba57bc Amy M. Shakespeare and Mark Gordon bought the three-bedroom, two-bath home at 331 21st St. in Brooklyn from Joan Larkin for $735,000 on Feb. 3.

The 1,670-square-foot house was built in 1901 in the Sunset Park West neighborhood.

Shakespeare is an architect and the owner of Redtop Architects, which was founded in 2003. She also has been an architectural critic at Cornell University.

She started her career as a project designer at RTKL Associates. She later worked at Perkins Eastman Architects and also became part of Mitchell/Giurgola Architects as an associate.

She received her bachelor's degree in architecture from Cornell University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 4,818 home sales in Brooklyn during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $460,000.
