Architects buy Carroll Gardens home

Medium 978460648ab032ec76ce11df06dfb157 John Bouratoglou and Jill Bouratoglou bought a home at 467 Union St. in Carroll Gardens from Liz Troester for $377,000 on Feb. 2.

The 1,930-square-foot house was built in 1915.

John Bouratoglou is an architect at Bouratoglou Architect PC. He previously worked as a station architect for Long Term Parking STV Inc. He also worked as a design assistant for both Gene Kaufman Architect PC and Paul Rudolph Architects.

He received his associate in applied science and architectural technology from the New York City College of Technology at CUNY and his bachelor of architecture from Pratt Institute.

Jill Bouratoglou is also an architect at Bouratoglou Architect PC. She previously worked as a project architect for both STV Inc. and Hom and Goldman. She was also an assistant professor at the New York City College of Technology at CUNY.

She received her B.A. in architecture from the University of Washington and her bachelor of architecture and masters of architecture from Pratt Institute.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 61 home sales in Carroll Gardens/Columbia Street during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $589,000.
