Mirian I. Arias and Ciaran E. Smyth bought a three-bedroom, two-bath home at 420 Lewis Ave. in Stuyvesant Heights from Nicola Shepherd for $735,000 on July 1.

Shepherd paid $625,000 for the property in Aug. 2009. The 1,996-square-foot house was built in 1899.

Arias is the vice president of communications at iVillage, a media company owned by NBCUniversal. Prior to that, she was the director of communications at Syfy/NBC Universal. She served as the director of communications at Nickelodeon/MTV Kids & Family, manager of communications at Oxygen Media, and publicist of BWR Public Relations.

She attended Boston University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 144 home sales in Stuyvesant Heights during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $310,000.
