Creative director trades Dumbo condo for $1.8M

Medium 1c7016a0792d74d22f4ac61d22e42c8c Craig J. Markus and Norma Jean Markus sold a three-bedroom, three-bath condo at 66 Washington St. in Dumbo to David Nadel and Nicole Feliciano for $1.8 million on April 6.

The Markus' paid $1.6 million for the property in Sept. 2006. The 1,668-square-foot condo, Unit #12G, is part of the 259 units at 70 Washington St. Condo, a 13-story development that was built in 1916 in Dumbo.

Mr. Markus is executive creative director and EVP at McCann Erickson, a global advertising agency network and the co-founder of TAG Ideation.

He holds an E.M.B.A. in creative leadership from Berlin School of Creative Leadership at Steinbeis University Berlin in Germany and received a bachelor's degree in advertising design from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California and a bachelor's degree in communications and mass media from the University of California at Los Angeles.

Ms. Markus is a commercial photography agent and the president of Norma Jean Markus, Inc., an agency representing photographers. She is a former managing director at Art and Commerce and vice president and manager of art buying at Ogilvy & Mather.

She obtained an M.F.A. degree from Columbia University and a bachelor's degree in philosophy from Wellesley College.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 17 condo sales in Dumbo during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $1.15 million.
