Singer/songwriter Santigold settles in Stuyvesant Heights

White is an American singer and songwriter more popularly known as Santigold.

She formerly was a member of the punk rock band, Stiffed. In 2008, she won the Best Breakthrough Artist award at the National Music Express Awards. The year after, she won the Vanguard Award from ASCAP Pop Music Awards.

She attended Wesleyan University, where she received degrees in music and African-American studies.

According to Blockshopper.com, there have been 134 home sales in Stuyvesant Heights during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $310,000.
