Engineering firm exec, professor deal Bay Ridge 3BD

Medium c6743465d4257c9a6a961e4ce92f0c44 Nicolas Peonides and Ulrike Peonides sold a three-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 210 Wakeman Place in Bay Ridge to Mark Lugo and Anthony Alvarez for $540,000 on June 10.

The 2,076-square-foot, two-story house was built in 1920.

Nicolas Peonides is an associate principal at the New York office of Arup, an international firm that provides engineering, design, planning, project management and consulting services.

Prior to his current position, he worked for the company's London headquarters.

He holds a Dipl.Ing and M.Sc. in electrical engineering, with a major in technical cybernetics and automatic control engineering. He finished his executive master's program in management of technology at Brooklyn Polytechnic University in 2006.

Ulrike Peonides is an adjunct professor at New York University and at the department of European languages and literatures of City University of New York's Queens College.

He graduated from Martin Luther University Halle–Wittenberg in Germany.

There were 292 home sales in Bay Ridge in 2008, with a median sales price of $340,000.
